Hiba Al-Hakeem is a practicum student at The Red Oak Centre and a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology) at the University of Windsor. She is committed to supporting clients in their daily lives and promoting family well-being.
Treatment Philosophy
Hiba provides therapy to children and adolescents, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs through a warm, strengths-based, client- and family-centred framework.
She has foundational training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and integrates diverse evidence-based modalities to support clients’ growth and well-being.

Hiba has completed clinical training in neuropsychology at the Hospital for Sick Children, working with children and youth with stroke and complex medical histories, and providing interventions for parents of children with behavioural and emotional concerns. She also trained with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team (BIRT) at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where she conducted neuropsychological assessments and provided interventions for youth with brain injuries.
Her research focuses on developing and evaluating interdisciplinary interventions for youth with prolonged concussion recovery and their families.
