About The Red Oak Centre
Our journey began more than ten years ago, as close friends raising young kids with ADHD. We often shared how hard it was to piece together the care our children needed—managing appointments, coordinating clinicians who didn’t communicate, and trying to make sense of overlapping or missing supports. What we longed for was clarity, guidance, and compassion.
In our clinical work, we saw families facing the same challenges. Parents were exhausted by a patchwork of services that not only felt disconnected but often missed the lived reality of ADHD—what it means for a child to navigate the world differently, and what it takes for a parent to support and advocate for them. Children, in turn, felt misunderstood by the very systems designed to help them. In those conversations—as both parents and colleagues—we recognized how urgently families needed a system that truly sees, supports, and understands their experience.
A vision takes root
Families, like ours, needed a soft landing. They needed compassionate, expert, and tailored care. The idea of The Red Oak Centre took root when we realized that we could be this change in the system. We could fill the void in the landscape of ADHD care. We envisioned a place where families could feel supported with respect and warmth, where parents wouldn’t have to coordinate care on their own, and where clinicians work together with shared goals to help children thrive.
We set out to bring that vision to life. We built a team of like-minded clinicians—people who shared our belief that care should be integrated, compassionate, and expert. Together, we could offer families the support we had always wished for ourselves.
We named our practice after the red oak tree—a symbol of strength, resilience, and growth. The red oak builds an expansive root system that anchors it firmly in the ground while also soaring to great heights. To us, it reflects what’s possible for ADHDers: with the right nurturing guidance, we can all grow, flourish, and thrive.

Why families choose us
In 2016, we opened the doors to the Red Oak Centre. Today, Red Oak is a space where families can make sense of what underlies their child’s behaviour and challenges, where they can navigate their needs with clarity and support, where ADHDers and their parents can better understand their brains and their strengths, and where skills and confidence can be built to make thriving possible. Our approach to care—to assess, navigate, educate, and empower—is the foundation of everything we do.
Red Oak has always been more than a clinic. It is a community. Families often tell us that the moment they walk through our doors, they feel a sense of relief and belonging. Our space is bright, affirming, and designed to feel as good as the care itself. Our team brings not only deep expertise, but also warmth, approachability, and collaboration. Parents know their child and family are supported by a team of like-minded therapists working together every step of the way.
Leading the way in ADHD care
Today, The Red Oak Centre is recognized as a leader in integrated ADHD care—not just in Toronto, but across the broader pediatric care landscape. Families trust us to provide a blend of clinical excellence and heartfelt compassion that makes a real difference.
As we grow, we’re proud to remain rooted in the values that inspired our founding. Our team continues to evolve, learning and collaborating to ensure every family receives the highest level of care. We’re committed to breaking down barriers to care and showing families what’s possible when they’re supported with the right tools and the right team.

At Red Oak, we believe every family deserves to feel empowered, supported, and equipped to take on life’s challenges. Whether you’re just starting to explore what support looks like or seeking a trusted partner in care, we’re here to help. Together, we’ll build the confidence, skills, and connections that make thriving possible—for kids, teens, young adults, and families.
