Dr. Kathleen Lee

Psychologist | PhD, C.Psych

Dr. Kathleen Lee provides assessment and treatment services to children and adolescents experiencing a variety of difficulties related to learning, attention, anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, disruptive behaviours, emotion dysregulation, suicidality, as well as stress and adjustment challenges. She also specializes in providing support to children and adolescents coping with the psychological impacts of serious medical concerns.

Rooted within evidence-based approaches, Dr. Kathleen Lee strives to tailor services to meet the unique needs of clients and families by working collaboratively with young people and their caregivers to co-create the conditions for growth and change. She integrates across a variety of approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution-focused modalities, emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT) as well as mindfulness and acceptance-based frameworks. Dr. Kathleen Lee also provides parent coaching and consultation to empower caregivers in supporting the social, emotional and behavioural development of their child.

Dr. Kathleen Lee completed her Ph.D. in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Toronto. She has extensive training and experience working with young people and their families across diverse settings including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Markham Stouffville Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), McMaster Children’s Hospital, Toronto Catholic District School Board as well as in private practice clinics. In addition, Dr. Kathleen Lee is currently a staff psychologist at McMaster Children’s Hospital and is involved in clinical research evaluating technology-assisted psychotherapy for children with serious medical illnesses.
