Alana Weinberg

Occupational Therapist | OT Reg. (Ont.), MEd

Alana Weinberg is both a registered occupational therapist (OT) and a certified teacher. Alana’s combined training and experience enable her to help children develop executive function skills essential for success in both school and daily life. Alana approaches academic support through the lens of an occupational therapist, breaking down academic skills into their components, teaching children to develop skills systematically and incrementally. Alana takes a strength-based approach to supporting her clients, ensuring that her sessions are engaging and interactive.

Alana supports school-aged children with a range of needs including challenges with executive functioning, self regulation, sensory processing, motor planning and handwriting. She has experience supporting children with various diagnoses including learning disabilities, ADHD, ASD, and Down Syndrome. Alana works collaboratively with parents, teachers and other health care professionals to support the needs of her clients.

Alana earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Queensland University of Technology in Queensland, Australia. Alana continues to develop herself professionally and has participating in numerous programs and workshops.
