Giulia Fabiano is a practicum student at The Red Oak Centre and a doctoral candidate in the Clinical-Developmental Neuropsychology program at York University. She is passionate about improving the well-being of children by supporting them and their families in building on their strengths, developing new skills, and working toward meaningful goals.
Treatment Philosophy
Giulia provides therapy to children and adolescents within a client- and family-centred approach, while fostering a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. She has foundational training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and incorporates evidence-based strategies into her therapeutic work tailored to the needs of each client. She values collaborating with caregivers to support their child’s well-being both within and beyond the therapy setting.

Giulia has completed her training in neuropsychological assessment at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where she worked with children and youth with complex medical histories, including brain tumours, haematological conditions, and congenital or acquired conditions requiring solid-organ transplantation. She continues her work at SickKids through InTERACT-North, where she delivers a positive parenting intervention for families of children experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges related to complex medical, neurological, or neurodevelopmental conditions.
Her dissertation research focuses on understanding the mental health needs of high-performance athletes, with the aim of improving early identification of mental health concerns and developing targeted strategies to support athlete well-being.
