Flora Roudbarani

Doctoral Practicum Student

Flora Roudbarani is a Ph.D. level practicum student in the Clinical Developmental Psychology Program at York University. At the Red Oak Centre, Flora provides evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, and behavioural challenges. Using a strength-based, client-and family-centred approach, she uses a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She also has extensive experience working with youth with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities) facing emotion regulation challenges.

Flora received her Master of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, and her Master of Arts from York University. Previously, Flora completed a practicum at the Child and Adolescent Psychology (CAP) Centre, where she provided comprehensive psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments. In addition, Flora’s master’s and doctoral research includes investigating treatment interventions to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children with autism.
