Paolina Onorato

Doctoral Practicum Student

Paolina Onorato is a Ph.D level practicum student completing her degree at York University in Clinical-Developmental Psychology. At the Red Oak, Paolina provides evidence-based psychological services to children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, emotion regulation, and low mood challenges.

Paolina’s practice is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), integrating additional types of therapy when appropriate. She strives to create a strength-based, emotionally safe and comfortable environment where children and adolescents can better understand their challenges and develop the skills to thrive.

Paolina received her Master of Arts in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University. Her research focused on how various emotion regulation strategies may be linked to well-being. Paolina completed her psychological assessment training at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board in which she worked with children and adolescents with a broad range of concerns and diagnoses (e.g., learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disability).
