In our OT-led Food Scientists group, kids explore food the way scientists do—through observation and hands-on experiments. Using the Sequential Oral Sensory(SOS) approach, our OTs help participants gradually build comfort with new foods in a supportive, engaging environment.
Through interactive activities, kids learn why their bodies need food, what helps them stay healthy and energized, and how to recognize and manage feelings of discomfort. Step by step, they build confidence, curiosity, and a growing willingness to try new foods.

Group FAQs
What if I can’t attend/miss a session?
Group fees are collected in full at the time of registration. Missed sessions will be charged to ensure consistency and commitment to the group. All fees are non-refundable and missed sessions are processed as no-shows.
What if my child is just outside the listed age range?
Contact the facilitator of the group. They can discuss your child’s needs with you, assess whether the group’s age range skews younger or older, and help determine if it’s the right fit.
Are group sessions covered by insurance?
Groups are typically facilitated by occupational therapists and billed accordingly. We do not offer direct billing, so please contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.
