Learning Disability

Empowering children and adolescents to understand their learning profiles and build skills for academic success

What is a learning disability?

While learning disabilities are lifelong, tailored and targeted strategies and skill-building can help children and adolescents with learning disabilities develop their skills, learn, and excel.

Tailored, targeted, and strength-based academic interventions

At Red Oak, our teachers support all aspects of literacy and math development with or without a formal learning disability diagnosis.

Our teachers provide tailored and targeted, evidence-based interventions designed to support each student’s learning profile. We use assessment to identify areas of strengths and deficits and ongoing evaluation to ensure that we are systematically closing gaps. We provide psycho-education to help each child and adolescent understand their unique learning profile and teach the skills to help them self-advocate.

We also offer psycho-educational assessments for parents looking to better understand and support their child’s learning profile and potentially identify any underlying learning disabilities. We also provide educational consultation for families looking for school recommendations based on their child’s learning profile and needs.
