Randi Sanderson

Teacher & Executive Function Coach | BA, BEd, OCT

Randi Sanderson is a teacher and executive function coach at the Red Oak Centre. With her warm and nurturing teaching style, Randi meets each individual where they are at- providing tailored support according to the needs and interests of each student. She works in partnership with her students and their parents to co-create achievable goals.

Randi uses an array of resources, strategies and manipulatives to create meaningful and engaging lessons helping students to incrementally and systematically build skills in areas of need. Recognizing the importance of social and emotional development and skill building, Randi often incorporates mindfulness activities into her lessons.

Randi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Children’s Studies and her Bachelor of Education from York University. She has worked as a teacher for eight years within the York Catholic, York Public and Toronto Catholic District School boards in a variety of grades and classrooms. She has completed multiple professional development courses including Special Education and Teaching Students with Communication Needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Teaching Students with Behavioural Needs. Outside of Red Oak, Randi continues to work as a special education teacher. She has a love for working with students with exceptionalities to help them reach their full potential.
