Carolyn White

Teacher, Executive Function Coach | BA, MA, OCT

Carolyn provides individually tailored academic and executive function support to children and adolescents. She is fluent in both English and French and offers support in both languages. Carolyn meets each child where they are at, building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and connection. Her sessions are tailored to the profile of the student and grounded in evidence-based strategies. Carolyn is experienced working with children with exceptionalities (e.g., ADHD, ASD). 

Along with Carolyn’s work at the Red Oak Centre, Carolyn is a teacher at the Toronto District School Board within the Primary/Junior division. She also conducts research with a focus on French immersion literacy at the Multilingualism and Literacy Lab at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in the University of Toronto. Currently pursuing an Additional Qualification (AQ) course in Special Education at OISE, Carolyn demonstrates a passion towards supporting students with developing effective learning strategies.

Carolyn holds a Master of Arts in Child Study and Education from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies with a specialization in Linguistics from York University. Carolyn continues to foster a growth mindset through her many professional development endeavours and workshops (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Youth Mental First Aid).
