Fluency
Fluency refers to the continuity, smoothness, rate and effort of speech production. Fluency disorders are often referred to as stuttering (interruption in the flow of speaking as a result of repetitions, prolongations, blocks and/or interjections) and cluttering (rapid and/or irregular speech rate).
Fluency therapy aims to help a child who is exhibiting signs of a stutter in order to help them become a more fluent communicator.
