ABOUT THIS GROUP

Feelings Plus is designed for children who have already taken a self-regulation group at Red Oak and want to build on those skills with peers. Building on our Feelings in Action group, participants use the Zones of Regulation® framework to notice stress and energy changes in their bodies. Participants create a personalized toolkit with strategies to help them calm down, focus, or re-energize when needed. Through creative and playful activities, kids also practice mindfulness, problem-solving, and coping skills.

This group offers a fun and engaging way for kids to strengthen self-awareness, communication, and confidence.

Common questions about group sessions

Group fees are collected in full at the time of registration. Missed sessions will be charged to ensure consistency and commitment to the group. All fees are non-refundable and missed sessions are processed as no-shows.

Contact the facilitator of the group. They can discuss your child’s needs with you, assess whether the group’s age range skews younger or older, and help determine if it’s the right fit.

Groups are typically facilitated by occupational therapists and billed accordingly. We do not offer direct billing, so please contact your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.
