These are some of the questions that get answered during our professional development workshops led by Occupational Therapists. The workshop facilitator will equip participants with up-to-date research and evidence-based tools for managing a classroom using self-regulation and sensory processing strategies. These workshops can include: Lunch and Learn programs, half-day or full-day workshops. School staff attending a workshop will:

  • Understand the role of Sensory Integration in learning and behaviour

  • Increase awareness of self-regulation and emotional control

  • Learn strategies to promote success in developing sensorimotor skills, self-regulation and emotional control

  • Grow their professional toolbox

 

Parents

We offer Occupational Therapy led workshops for parents to gain an understanding of how to support their child’s learning and behaviour using knowledge of sensory integration and self-regulation. This workshop will help parents:

  • Understand the role of Sensory Integration in learning and behaviour

  • Increase awareness of self-regulation and emotional control

  • Learn strategies to promote success in developing sensorimotor skills, self-regulation and emotional control
