What is Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T)? MBSR-T is an eight-week program designed to teach teens practical skills to reduce stress and enhance their quality of life. MBSR-T was adapted for adolescents by Gina Biegel, MA, LMFT, from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s highly-successful adult MBSR program (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). MBSR-T is designed for teens experiencing stress in the context of a medical illness, mental health difficulties and/or environmental challenges.
