Andrea Poile

Director of Executive Function Program



Andrea is the head of our Executive Functioning Skills Department. Her executive function coaching combines neuroscience-based learning strategies, organizational coaching, and mindfulness techniques. With her warm, engaging interpersonal style and commitment to nurture the whole student, Andrea supports her clients in developing greater concentration, competence, and connection — at school, in their relationships, and within themselves.

Andrea teaches mindfulness at the Red Oak, and in high schools across the GTA, leads professional development sessions, and designs curriculum on topics like resilience, growth mindset, and brain-based learning. She is also one of the lead coordinators for Inward Bound Mindfulness Education’s Toronto teen retreat program, and she staffs teen retreats across the US and Canada.

Andrea graduated McGill University with a B.A. in English Literature and Psychology. She earned her certification to teach the .b curriculum from Garrison Institute’s Education Initiative. Andrea earned her master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she specialized in adolescent development, the neuropsychology of resilience, and mindfulness in education.
